Barbara Jean "Barbie" Souray is an American model, former professional wrestler and professional wrestling valet, better known by her ring name Kelly Kelly. She is best known for her time with WWE.

Barbie Blank chatted with Digital Journal about starring on E!’s hit series “WAGS,” which takes viewers into the lives of some of today’s hottest professional athletes from the perspective of the women who are by their side.
The first season of the popular reality show aired last fall and it will make its return to E! on June 26. “Well, I get married in this season!! So you will get to see everything when it comes to picking out my dress, some Bridezilla moments, and the ups and downs of planning a wedding. Then, of course you will see our gorgeous wedding and reception. I can’t wait for the fans to be able to feel like they were there,” she said.
Barbie is best-known in World Wrestling Entertainment as WWE Diva Kelly Kelly. She competed in WWE from 2006 to 2012 which included becoming the Diva’s Champion in 2011 and being featured on WWE Monday Night Raw, WWE Smackdown, and WrestleMania XXV. “My best memory would have to be winning the WWE Diva’s Championship! I felt like all of my hard work over the last five years had finally paid off, and it meant that the WWE and Vince McMahon really had a lot invested in me and recognized how much my job meant to me,” she said.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Blank started her athletic career at a young age participating in competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, track and softball. She is married to retired NHL player Sheldon Souray, of the Anaheim Ducks.
On her future plans, she said, “Right now, my main focus is being a great wife to my husband. I’m very excited for season two of WAGS to premiere on June 26. I would love to do something in fitness whether it be endorsing fitness wear, or a fitness video, or really anything involving fitness since it is still such a huge part of my life. I also love acting, so if I had an opportunity to do more of that I would love to! I’m looking forward to seeing what opportunities this year has in store for me. The sky’s the limit.”
For her fans, she concluded, “I just want to thank them for always supporting me with whatever I do. They have always been so loyal all of these years since I was 19 and starting in the WWE and they have continued that into my new venture of being on the show WAGS. I just can’t thank them enough for always having my back. My fans mean everything to me.”

You might know Barbie Blank Souray as World Wrestling Entertainment star Kelly Kelly, but she’s done a whole lot more than dish out smackdowns on WWE’s Monday Night Raw. She’s made a successful jump from swimsuit modeling to acting. She has been featured in Maxim’s Hot 100 list multiple years in a row and profiled by FHM. She slayed it on FunnyOrDie, and if you’ve been following her career very closely, you might even have spotted her on The Price is Right.

Barbie Blank keeps her nearly three million loyal social followers updated with sizzling Instagram snaps and insider scoops on the latest WWE news while sporting the latest bikini trends and sharing plenty of selfies.

I’m one of the stars on the reality show WAGS on E!. So tune in to season two starting June 26th.

Barbie Blank is a former WWE wrestler and current reality television star. Former National Hockey League player Sheldon Souray is credited with the hardest shot in the NHL at 106.7 miles per hour. They are quite the superstar couple.

But long before they met, Barbara Jean Blank was just a typical kid growing up in Jacksonville. She was a regular at Baymeadows Gymnastics, which her uncle owned. She attended University Christian and graduated from Englewood High School. While at Florida Community College at Jacksonville (as it was called then), she had dreams of becoming a news anchor. She also modeled for Venus Swimwear and Hawaiian Tropic, and her career took off.

Barbie became a professional wrestler known in the ring as Kelly Kelly. At age 19, she was the youngest wrestler at the time, eventually rising to become the WWE Divas Champion. The first time she met Sheldon, they barely said a word to each other. They eventually connected again at a Maxim Hot 100 party, where the stunning Barbie was featured as one of the “hot” ones. She even graced the cover of Maxim magazine in 2011.

“After that [Maxim party] night, we were inseparable,” Barbie said.

Sheldon, whose NHL career spanned 13 years, was awestruck,

“It was like time slowed down. She immediately took my breath away,” Sheldon said. “I remember thinking to myself this was by far the most amazing woman I had ever seen in my life.”

Sheldon proposed while the two were on a boat in the middle of a lake in Idaho.

“He started saying all of these emotional things like you are my soul mate,” Barbie said. “Then he played our favorite song, Tim McGraw’s ‘My Best Friend.’ He got on one knee and proposed. Sheldon planned it just right so that suddenly friends and family showed up on another boat with balloons and champagne.

They married on Feb. 27 on the beach at the exclusive El Dorado Golf & Country Club in Cabo, Mexico.

“The moment she walked down the aisle, it literally made my knees weak and my heart skip a beat,” Sheldon remembered.

Sheldon’s two daughters took part in the ceremony and they incorporated special vows just for the girls. A fireworks extravaganza was also part of the celebration. There were 100 guests, including model Cindy Crawford and “Scrubs” star John McGinley, along with a slew of athletes. Barbie was most grateful that her 85-year-old grandmother, Mary Reynolds, made the trip from Jacksonville. She had not been on a plane for 30 years, but she wanted to be there. They got her a passport, and she was the life of the party.

The busy couple splits time between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. They also have a home in Idaho. Barbie is getting ready for a second season of “WAGS” on the E! Network. The reality show documents the personal lives of wives and girlfriends of athletes. Both have busy schedules, but Sheldon says they always make time for each other.

“Each and every day, we tell each other and show each other how much we love each other. The best part of her leaving is the moment she walks back through the door,” Sheldon said.

Barbie and Sheldon try to make time to see her family in her hometown.

“While performing for the WWE, Jacksonville was my favorite city to go to. My friends and family back home are my No. 1 fans. I have never forgotten where I came from,” Barbie said.

Sheldon said the people in Jacksonville remind him of being back in his native Canada: “Very friendly and eager to help,” adding that the beaches are “beyond beautiful.”

Not only are the Jacksonville beaches beautiful, Sheldon is quick to point out another local’s good looks. “Did I mention that she is the most gorgeous woman in the world?”

Barbie equates their relationship to a fairytale: “We have a love many people dream of. We are so happy to spend the rest of our lives together.”

Barbie’s wedding date is no longer January 30th. It has been changed to February 27th,2016

So how did you and Sheldon meet?

BARBIE BLANK: We met through a mutual girlfriend who I was living with in Tampa. He was playing with the Oilers at the time and he had a game in Tampa. My girlfriend was going out for dinner with him and a bunch of friends and she invited me since I was in town. We talked a little bit, but we didn’t think it would end up going anywhere. We became friends but it was only about a year later that we became girlfriend-boyfriend. We’ve been together for four-and-a-half years, now.

When your friend introduced you to him, did you know who he was?

BB: I had no idea. (laughs) I’m from Florida and hockey is not a big sport down there. I didn’t really know anything about hockey and he knew nothing about wrestling, other than from when he was a kid. When we first started dating, we were both very supportive of each other’s career. He would come to my shows whenever he could, and I would come to his games whenever I could. We balanced really well.
Together for just over four years, Barbie and Sheldon will tie the knot in January.

Are you a big hockey fan now?

BB: I became a huge hockey fan! I fell in love with it. After meeting him, I realized that he was a totally different guy on the ice. I remember during our first month dating, my mom told me I should go watch some of Sheldon’s fights on YouTube. So I did and I was telling myself, “He’s killing these guys. This is insane.” (laughs) He told me he was a totally different guy off the ice. I would love going to games and when he would get into a fight, I would stand up and yell, “Yeah babe, kick his ass!” All the other wives and girlfriends would give me the weirdest looks. (laughs)

Have you ever laced up the skates with Sheldon for fun? What kind of hockey player would you be?

BB: Never, but we talk about it. I’ve never really ice skated or anything like that. That’s something I would really want to try now that he’s retired. That would be something fun to do together. I would definitely be a fighter. I would give him a run for his money, for sure.

Did it take long to convince you to join the cast of WAGS?

BB: When we were approached, I thought it was a great idea because you guys have Hockey Wives in Canada and we had Basketball Wives in the US, but there’s never been a show featuring all of the WAGS on the same show. I thought it was a great concept that was untapped since people hadn’t seen that side of our world.

We all know there’s a bit of scripting done with reality TV. How much of the drama we see on WAGS is actually real?

BB: None of it is scripted. That’s just what ensues when we get together. The wives really don’t care for the girlfriends and vice versa. (laughs) It’s a really interesting dynamic to kind of see the hierarchy in the sports world. People hate to admit it, but there is one, and we show people how it is.

Is it hard to have your everyday moves followed by cameras and scrutinized by the public eye?

BB: Well, it doesn’t show everything. We know when they’re going to film us – it’s not like we have hidden cameras at our house. (laughs) So we’re always prepared and I’m used to the cameras from my WWE days. We used to film four times a week. But Sheldon is not used to the camera, so he took a little bit of warming up, but he’s a natural.

We saw on the show that you were worried about Sheldon’s retirement. Now that a few months have passed since he hung up his skates, has your perception about it changed?

BB: Since he’s been injured for the past two years, he’s had a good amount of time to settle in and realize that he’s retiring. I think that he’s been handling it amazingly. Every career ends and it’s not forever. I remember what I was like when I retired. I just didn’t know what to do because I was so used to having a schedule. He’s really enjoying retirement and I’m happy with his decision. We’re moving on to the next chapter of our lives.

Has retirement life already hit him? Is Sheldon spending his mornings doing crossword puzzles? Wearing socks with sandals? Has he taken up bocce yet?

BB: We love it. He’ll do his thing. He’ll go golf during the day and I’ll go off on my way. I’ll have dinner ready and we’ll hang out together. We’re a stay at home little couple and we have our little shows that we watch. He’s a completely different person now from when he used to play in Montreal. (laughs)

Has he ever told you that he was kind of a big deal here?

BB: Oh, I’ve heard about it. (laughs) Let’s just say that he told me that he lived it up. He just loved living and playing there. He couldn’t stop talking about Montreal whenever we talked about his career. When we got together, he’d just signed in Dallas and after that he went to Anaheim. Hockey isn’t as big in Texas or in California as it is in Canada, so I never had the chance to see how the fans were crazy over him up there. When I hear people talk about how he couldn’t go to a restaurant or couldn’t walk on the streets without being mobbed by fans, I just can’t imagine it. When he tells me these stories, it really sounds like he was a big shot in Montreal. (laughs)
Friends since their WWE days together, Montrealer Maryse Ouellet will be a maid of honor at Barbie’s wedding.

Did you have the chance to spend some time in Montreal with WWE over the years?

BB: It’s funny because one of my bridesmaids, Maryse, is from Montreal, and she knows Sheldon’s group of friends up there. They knew of each other in some way before I met him. I love hearing her talk about Montreal. Whenever I had a match against her in Montreal, I would get booed so bad since she was the local star. (laughs)

We know the wedding will take place in Cabo, but any plans to possibly take a second honeymoon in Montreal? Maybe wait for a summertime visit?

BB: You never know. I would love to go to Montreal and spend some time there and go to some restaurants and go out to the clubs and do some sightseeing since I’ve never really done that. I’d love to visit Montreal. I want to see how people react when they see Sheldon. (laughs)

On the show, you mentioned that you wanted to create a new image for yourself after your “Kelly Kelly” character. How hard is it to break away from a role?

BB: It’s been such a big part of my life. I started when I was 19 and Kelly Kelly was such a big name in the WWE and it was my persona for seven years. When I left, I wanted to leave that persona behind and kind of make a name for myself. My fans have been amazing and they’ve followed me through my whole career and they want to see what’s next for me. The show has been great for them to see what I’ve been doing since I left the WWE. I’d like to try acting or hosting or anything like that to further my brand.

Do you miss that lifestyle?

BB: I miss entertaining and performing for sure. I’d love to do something along those lines. WAGS has been amazing because I’ve been able to have fun and be myself and still kind of entertain, but in a different way. It’s been great.

Would you ever be open to a return to WWE?

BB: If they ever ask me to come back and do a one-time thing like a Summerslam or a Wrestlemania, I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to it. I’m still young, I feel I still could go out there and wrestle. You never know.

Even if you want to distance yourself from wrestling, do you ever have to bust out your old moves on Sheldon when he doesn’t behave?

BB: I remember when we first started dating, he was asking me, “Hey babe, is wrestling real?” He shouldn’t have tried me. (laughs) So I gave him a Ric Flair chop to the chest so hard and he realized at that moment that wrestling was definitely real. I would do moves on him all the time and he just couldn’t believe how crazy it was.

Under: Interviews

On this weeks WAGS Barbie and the girls went to a horse race as Barbie was the judge and was going to be giving the winner there trophy, Ashley told Barbie that she wanted to hear what happened at the batch party, Barbie told her once all the girls got there she would tell them. Autumn asked them that they just came back from Miami as they all said they did, Ashley then asked what happened, Barbie spoke softly saying Nicole and Olivia made out, they didn’t hear her so she spoke louder as they all started laughing and asked Olivia if she’s ever made out with a girl before, she said no and they asked Nicole if Larry was okay with it, and she said he was and that it sounds like her while he laughed. Barbie asked Natalie if her and Sean were moving in together, what was going on, Natalie told everyone that there still house hunting, and that she doesn’t know yet. Barbie asked Natalie what team was Sean going to next year, and she told her she doesn’t even pay attention, Autumn was surprised that she doesn’t pay attention to her own boyfriends work.

Barbie, Olivia, Natalie and Nicole all walked down to the winners circle so Barbie could give the winning trophy to the winner of the race, as the girls and her laughed and voted on there numbers to win, Barbie picked 8, as Olivia picked 2, and number 2 won, Barbie waited for the winner to come and get his trophy as she hugged him and congratulated him, as the other girls sat upstairs watching from a TV.

All the girls went out for dinner, Barbie, Natalie, Nicole and Olivia were already at the table, when Olivia said she had a bad PMS right now, and if anyone says anything over the max, it’s over as Barbie laughed and the others girls showed up. Barbie asked Natalie if her and Sean are going to get married soon, and she replied back with a “I don’t know” as Autumn gave her a confused look, asking her how does she not know, and she replied back saying she’s never been the kind of person that wanted to get married or move in fast, Autumn then pipped up again calling her out and saying she was in a fake relationship, Natalie then asked her why did she think that, Autumn told her about the sources that have told her he’d be doing his own thing, and she’ll be doing her own thing and there never together, Barbie then spoke up saying that everything they’ve been through at the end of the day, as Autumn told her that she’s so sweet and loves how there bff’s now. Sasha was then the focus of the whole dinner as she felt like she was having labor pains, Natalie said she would text Autumn or Ashley and ask how she’s doing, and hopefully they would answer her due to the heat that just happened at the dinner table.

Barbie, Olivia and Natalie all went shoe shopping as they all talked about how scary it was with Sasha the night before, and that they hoped she was okay and that Sasha was 2 months from her due date but she looked in pain, Olivia then brought up that Autumn was on a tide rade and Natalie agreed and said she doesn’t see how she should open up to her just because she doesn’t want to marry her boyfriend after amount of years doesn’t mean she’s in a fake relationship as Barbie agreed to what she said.

At the end of this episode it showed the girls lifes that wasn’t shown in this season, as Barbie and Sheldon were on a golf cart together, watching fire works and just enjoying there time together.
